We’re celebrating the launch of our new accounting service with a breakfast event at Bristol’s Engine Shed on 17 September. We’d love it if you could join us.

CEO and Founder of Futrli, Hannah Dawson will be sharing her journey from boot-strapped startup to fast-growing platform with 40,000 users and counting. Hannah will also talk about how the Futrli platform uses AI and machine learning to help small businesses make better financial decisions.

Giving businesses the information that they need to make the right decisions at the right time is something that we really believe in. There are two types of accounting – accounting that looks backwards and accounting that looks forward. The historical perspective is important in order to meet regulation and tax. But a growing business also needs to look forward and make the right plans.

This is something that both Futrli and Affecton can help their clients achieve. So we’re pleased to be running our first event in partnership with them.

We’ll be kicking things off at 08:30. And don’t worry, breakfast will be provided.

Our new service

We’re excited to be relaunching Affecton in its new and updated form.

We first founded Affecton in 2002. Our goal was to help FTSE 100 businesses manage their tax strategies and organisational structure. We were lucky enough to work with some brilliant clients.

Now, we are shifting our focus. Working with large established companies was interesting and rewarding at the time. But now, the people we really want to help are the challengers, the up-and-comers, the aspirants. Basically, we want to work with startups. And what better place to work with startups than in Bristol, a city with a buzzing startup scene and a strong culture of innovation.

We’ve spent the first half of the year working from Engine Shed where we’ve met plenty of interesting startups and their founders. In the process, we’ve been designing a range of services that are tailor-made to help startups grow and help their founders make the right decisions.
